Unleash race-winning performance with an enduro machine that excels in almost any riding conditions. Developed from Yamaha’s Grand Prix winning motocross bike, the WR250F delivers thrilling acceleration to power you to victory – and with a cutting-edge chassis, optimised ergonomics and airflow management, this bike is built to conquer high-speed tracks to technical trails.
Powerful YZ250F-type engine
The WR250F’s powerful engine, developed from the Grand Prix winning YZ250F, features a high-performance camshaft, a low-friction cam chain with optimised sprockets and dampers, an enduro-specific ECU and a cylinder head with a wide intake port for thrilling levels of top-end power to conquer the straights, and strong low-down torque to stay ahead out of every corner.
Optimised YX250F-style bilateral-beam frame
Designed using Yamaha's unique CF die-casting process, the WR250F's strong and lightweight aluminium beam frame features walls of different thicknesses to give a perfect blend of rigidity for the optimum feel, while a low tank rail, engine mounts, plus a lightweight 3-cross spoke rear wheel hub with a 22mm rear axle contribute to even better feedback and stability through the bumps.
High efficency airflow management
Engine performance is next level, while body width kept to a minimum via the latest high-efficiency air-management system that channels fresh air through the spaces between the fuel tank, frame, seat and side panels. When it reaches the lightweight airbox, the air is pre-cleaned by a vortex that throws particles to the side, reducing air cleaner clogging and making routine maintenance easier.
Industry-leading KYB suspension
The WR250F is equipped with best-in-class KYB suspension featuring optimised front forks with hand adjustment for damping and compression and a speed-sensitive damping system (SSS) with special enduro valving for rapid steering and supreme bump absorption. A high-performance KYB rear shock raises the feeling of overall stability and cornering prowess needed to win races.
Compact mass centralised design
The WR250F's signature reverse cylinder head layout and rearward-slanted cylinder design with wraparound exhaust header pipe and shorter muffler help to centralize the bike's mass. A slim shroud and narrow seat with a new textured surface offers increased grip and control with plenty of space between the hips and feet during active riding.
Compact multi-function display
The compact multi-function display gives you all the information you need while you conquer the track or trail. Easy to read at a glance, the high-contrast LCD meter includes an odometer, two tripmeters, clock and timer/stopwatch, plus a low fuel warning light and fuel consumption indicator to help you plan fuel stops.
Light and durable clutch
Enduro riding will push any transmission to the limit, which is why the WR250F's durable clutch has been developed to handle the most extreme terrain. With knurled friction plates, it ensures a lightweight lever feel and delivers reliable, consistent performance you can depend on every time the lights go out.
Wide-ratio 6-speed transmission
The latest generation powerplant is equipped with an enduro-developed wide-ratio 6-speed transmission that makes the WR250F one of the most capable and versatile off-road machines. From challenging technical trails to high-speed open-lane riding, this rapid-shifting gearbox enables you to achieve maximum performance.
2-mode engine map switch
In enduro riding, track conditions can change in an instant. The WR250F's 2-mode engine map switch allows you to alter the power characteristics of the bike at the push of a button, so whether it's hardpack or deep mud, you can select the best power mode to maintain your pace and stay ahead.
Industry-first anti-theft ECU lock system
The WR250F features an industry-first anti-theft ECU lock system via the Power Tuner app, meaning the engine won't start until unlocked by a password. You can also fine-tune the WR250F's engine power characteristics between 'Smooth' to 'Aggressive' using the Simple Tuning Interface, while Traction Control adjustments and a Lap Timer are only a few screen taps away.
New Icon Blue colours and graphics
With its slim durable bodywork featuring an easy-to-grip rear fender and finished in new Icon Blue colours with embedded graphics, the latest generation WR250F will look 'factory' whether it's fresh on the start line or caked in the dirt.
High performance YZ250-Ftype front brake
Unleash the stopping power with the WR250F's cutting-edge braking system. With a compact caliper featuring large diameter pistons, a strong 270mm front disc and special high friction pads that cover a large contact area with the rotor, you'll be able to brake later than ever before as you power through the tight technical sectors.
