Starting from £4,500
Wherever you ride, the WR125R's thrilling performance, agile handling and low running costs crank up the fun factor, open new opportunities and make every ride a journey to remember. From carving through the city to disappearing into the wild on a weekend escape, the WR125R's got you covered.
Rule the Trails
Power is freedom, and thanks to Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) the 125cc engine punches well above its weight. The WR125R offers ample torque at low- to mid-range rpm and maximises power at high revs. Its excellent ride character and VVA-assisted power delivery make every ride thrilling yet easy-to-manage, so you can enjoy the environment and the people you are with.
You can have a great time on the WR125R in the city, but if you want to explore the unknown, the supple suspension and agile chassis combined with the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel enable you to hit more challenging terrain beyond the city limits with control and confidence. And if you want to make your adventure longer, the high fuel efficiency ensures you can enjoy the ride with no interruptions.
Genuine dual-sport ability
The WR125R is a highly comfortable and enjoyable everyday ride with genuine dual-sport ability to enable you to find adventures on any terrain. The torquey engine, agile chassis and proven off-road engineering behind its striking but simple design make it the perfect machine for you to explore new horizons inside or outside the city.
Torque-rich 125cc engine with VVA
The 125cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine offers you thrilling yet easy-to-manage performance. Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) provides excellent ride character and impressive performance across the rev range both on- and off-road. The engine also fights emissions with two catalysers, an O2 sensor and an evaporative system, all of which help make it compliant with the latest EU5+ regulations.
Multi-function LCD instrumentation
The instrument panel is compact, with easy access to key information. You can also link it to your smartphone via the free MyRide app to display information such as incoming phone calls, messages and remaining battery level.
Disc brakes with front ABS
Highly controllable and well-balanced braking power is available both on- and off-road, thanks to a two-pot brake caliper biting into a 267mm disc at the front, and a 220mm disc with a one-pot caliper at the rear. The front brake features single-channel ABS delivering confident braking performance.
Excellent fuel efficiency
You can enjoy the freedom of motorcycling without interruptions even on longer adventures thanks to the combination of high fuel efficiency of over 40 km/L and the 8-litre fuel tank, resulting in a range of 320km. Note: Range and fuel efficiency depend on riding style. Mentioned values are based on WMTC mode.
Highly flexible riding position
Controlling the bike on any terrain is easy thanks to the flat seat providing a highly flexible riding position, which allows you to move freely on the bike, transferring weight to find the perfect balance. The smooth side panels allow easy transfer from standing to sitting, while wide footpegs give plenty of control.
Go-anywhere tyres
If you want to commute or enjoy the bike in an urban environment, but feel the call of adventure and want to explore the unknown, the WR125R's Dunlop D605 tyres give you flexibility to do just that. They provide excellent grip even when the tarmac runs out.
Low maintenance even off-road
Yamaha's VVA technology has already proven its reliability, but the WR125R also features practical solutions that help you concentrate on your adventures rather than maintaining your motorcycle. The air filter is reliable and easy-to-replace, benefits both on- and off-road riding and adds to ease of maintenance before and after off-road rides.
Chassis for adventure
The agile chassis makes the WR125R highly capable and easy to handle even on rough terrain. The semi-double cradle frame provides great feel on varied surfaces, even when riding at higher speeds. The suspension consists of a 41mm KYB fork and a linked-type Monocross shock to smoothly absorb bumps and prevent bottoming out. The setup allows stable rides both on- and off-road.
Modern design meets tradition
The WR125R boasts modern looks while also expressing the classic design qualities of Yamaha's iconic off road machines. Carefully considered details such as the LED headlight and position light housed in the front fairing give the WR125R a unique look.
